Position Responsibility:

Lead ESE’s Compliance Business Unit through the delivery of environmental compliance services to the marketplace in an organized and disciplined manner, striving to continuously improve in the areas of Business Management, Consultative Project Management, Technical Guidance, and Business Development.

Positions Duties:

  • Deliver and maintain the revenue, quality, and growth goals set and agreed upon for the ESE Compliance Business Unit. We understand that these goals are achieved through a group \ effort, however; it is imperative that these goals are owned and driven by the Business Unit Leader.
  • Deliver the professional consulting services offered by ESE Partners using ESE delivery systems and methodologies.
  • Operate as one of the firm’s technical leaders with respect to the disciplines related to Environmental Science and Compliance.
  • Manage numerous projects simultaneously with potentially widely varying environmental scopes of work.
  • Develop scopes of work, proposals, budget estimates, and project strategies for various types of environmental projects.
  • Manage project budgets.
  • Manage and mentor staff.
  • Author and review technical reports.
  • Negotiate with regulators on behalf of clients.
  • Manage subcontractor accounts.
  • Manage client accounts and approve client invoices prior to delivery.
  • Maintain an average billing utilization of 75%.
  • Attend sales meetings, as necessary.
  • Work with marketing team to develop new sales materials, leads and sales opportunities.
  • Promote the development of staff careers.
  • Provide technical and marketing/sales assistance to other team members when called upon.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients and customers.
  • Report Business Unit’s progress/needs to executive team weekly.
  • Participate in weekly and monthly tactical meetings and quarterly strategic planning meetings.

Education:

Minimum of a B.S. in Environmental Science, Geology or Engineering.

Licenses:

PE Preferred but Not Required

Certifications:

40 Hour HAZWOPER

Experience:

Min 10 Years in Environmental Consulting with project and business management experience.
