ESE recently conducted a Cultural Resources Investigation for a planned development in Sherman, Texas.

The cultural resources survey was conducted within portions of a planned development potentially under the jurisdiction of the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). Our archeologist conducted an intensive pedestrian cultural resources survey, which included: a transect survey; intensive surface inspection; and shovel tests. Archival research included the study of recent aerial orthoimagery, review of nearby documented sites in the Texas Archeological Sites Atlas, and other reports of investigations from previous archeological studies conducted in the immediate area.

Based on the results of the pedestrian survey and archival research, it was ESE’s opinion that no cultural resources will be impacted by the proposed development within the survey area.
