The EPA has issued a final rule that is aimed at reducing emissions of methane and other air pollutants from oil and natural gas operations. For the first time this will include existing sources nationwide. The final action also incorporates New Source Performance Standards to reduce methane and smog-forming volatile organic compounds from new, modified and reconstructed sources.
